About the Role
Selected interns will actively participate in the day-to-day operations of an active chamber. This is not a passive observational role—you will be deeply engaged in drafting real-world legal documents, conducting intricate case law research, and navigating court registries and registries.
Key Responsibilities
- In-Depth Legal Research: Researching relevant statutes, judicial precedents, and regulatory frameworks across various jurisdictions.
- Drafting Pleadings: Assisting in drafting writ petitions, plaints, written statements, applications, and legal notices.
- Court Filings & Procedures: Gaining practical familiarity with the filing procedures, scrutiny, and clearing of objections across district courts, High Courts, and tribunals.
- Case Preparation: Summarizing case files, preparing brief digests, and coordinating trial strategies with senior associates.
Eligibility & Candidate Profile
- Open to passionate law students, with strong preference given to 2nd and 3rd-year students.
- Sound foundational understanding of civil, criminal, and procedural laws.
- Strong analytical, legal drafting, and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to commit on-site at the chamber office in Defence Colony, New Delhi.
