About the Role
This role offers early-career advocates a remarkable opportunity to gain hands-on courtroom experience and substantive legal drafting exposure. You will work closely with the firm's seasoned litigation team, actively contributing to strategy formulation, research, and client representation primarily focusing on Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT) and Consumer Forum disputes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior litigators in managing and strategizing for consumer dispute proceedings and DRT matters.
- Draft legal notices, petitions, affidavits, rejoinders, and written submissions with high precision.
- Conduct thorough legal research using authoritative databases to identify relevant precedents and statutes.
- Liaise with clients, maintain case registries, and coordinate with court registries for procedural compliances.
- Appear and represent matters before relevant judicial and quasi-judicial authorities as assigned.
Candidate Profile & Eligibility
- Qualifications: Must hold a recognized LL.B. degree and be formally enrolled with the State Bar Council.
- Experience: 0–1 year of post-qualification experience (PQE), ideally with exposure to DRT and consumer protection litigation. Freshers with strong internship experience in litigation are encouraged to apply.
- Location: Must be currently based in Patna, Bihar, or willing to relocate immediately.
