About the Role
EY is hiring a Senior Associate – Commercial Contracting for its Legal service line. The role is part of the GDS GCO Enablement team in India and involves working with legal/Global General Counsel’s Office (GCO) attorneys to support EY’s business on client and vendor contracts. The position also involves providing legal support and advising stakeholders on managing and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, finalize, and provide advisory support on vendor agreements, including statements of work and terms and conditions.
- Work on service agreements, framework agreements, proposals, sponsorship contracts, collaboration/event agreements, speaker services agreements, and ancillary documentation.
- Provide risk management advice in relation to contracts and other assignments.
- Act as a point of contact for EY’s business and procurement teams and support the legal team.
- Understand general key business risks and apply EY’s specific risk management framework.
- Assist with training new joiners and junior team members.
- Coordinate with internal specialist functions, including Independence, onshore legal teams, Security, Privacy, and Risk Management.
- Maintain an understanding of changes in EY policies, organizational structure, and procedures.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- LL.B. or professional law qualification.
- 3–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Demonstrated experience in contract review, drafting, and negotiation.
- Knowledge of data protection (including GDPR/CCPA), privacy, and security terms.
- Understanding of compliance concepts such as Independence and Conflicts.
- Experience drafting and negotiating IP terms in contracts.
- Strong solution-oriented approach, attention to detail, and excellent written/verbal English communication skills.
