About the Organization
Jain & Saigal Law Offices is a premier full-service law firm based in New Delhi, established in 2021 and headed by two practicing advocates who are Advocates-on-Record before the Supreme Court of India. The firm specializes in civil and commercial laws, including arbitration, insolvency, recovery matters, property disputes, and labor law.
Role & Responsibilities
The internship offers immersive, hands-on exposure to an active litigation practice, court proceedings, drafting, legal research, and client dealings. Primary responsibilities include:
- Court Attendance: Attending court proceedings across various judicial forums and tracking litigation matters.
- Legal Research: Conducting in-depth research on civil, commercial, insolvency, property disputes, banking laws, service law, matrimonial matters, consumer protection, cheque dishonour, and white-collar defense.
- Legal Drafting: Assisting with legal drafting, including plaints, petitions, applications, written submissions, legal opinions, and agreements.
- Arbitration Assistance: Assisting with domestic and international commercial arbitrations (tailored according to the candidate's year of study).
- Client & Office Support: Participating in client meetings and supporting day-to-day work associated with running a modern litigation firm.
Eligibility & Criteria
A total of 4 internship positions are available for self-driven, diligent law students:
- 2 Interns: 5th-year students of 5-year LL.B. OR 3rd-year students of 3-year LL.B.
- 1 Intern: 3rd/4th-year students of 5-year LL.B. OR 2nd-year students of 3-year LL.B.
- 1 Intern: 1st/2nd-year students of 5-year LL.B. OR 1st-year students of 3-year LL.B.
