Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
Legal Representation: Represent Jawaharlal Nehru University before the Supreme Court of India, High Court of Delhi, District Courts, Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), National Green Tribunal (NGT), and other judicial/quasi-judicial bodies.
Pleadings & Drafting: Prepare, draft, and finalize writs, counter-affidavits, petitions, appeals, written statements, and other legal documentation.
Legal Advisory: Provide well-researched legal opinions, advice, and guidance to the university administration on complex service, administrative, regulatory, and constitutional matters.
Case Strategy: Coordinate with the University legal cell to formulate solid litigation strategies and ensure timely compliance with judicial directions.
Eligibility & Candidate Profile
Must be an Advocate duly registered with the Bar Council of India / State Bar Council.
Demonstrated expertise and substantial experience in handling administrative law, service matters, writ petitions, and institutional litigation.
Strong research, drafting, and oral advocacy skills.
Prior experience representing government bodies, statutory corporations, or educational institutions is highly desirable.
