NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad is proud to announce the 1st NALSAR National Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition 2026. Designed to foster cutting-edge legal research, rigorous legal writing, and persuasive oral advocacy skills among aspiring legal minds across India, this flagship national moot court focuses on contemporary challenges at the intersection of Constitutional Law and Digital Governance.

Theme & Focus Areas

The moot proposition revolves around complex and evolving legal issues, including:

• Data privacy, state surveillance, and digital fundamental rights under Article 21.

• Freedom of speech and algorithmic content regulation under Article 19(1)(a).

• Federalism and state-versus-center jurisdiction over emerging technology infrastructure.

Eligibility & Team Composition

• Open to all bona fide law students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree programs from BCI-recognized universities, law departments, and institutions in India.

• Each institution may register a maximum of two teams.

• Teams must comprise exactly 3 members (2 Speakers and 1 Researcher).

Key Dates & Timeline

• Registration Deadline: March 15, 2026

• Memorial Submission Deadline: April 5, 2026

• Preliminary & Quarter-Final Rounds (Virtual): April 18–19, 2026

• Semi-Finals & Grand Final (On-Campus at NALSAR): May 2–3, 2026

Prizes & Recognition

• Winning Team: Cash Prize of ₹75,000 + Trophy + Merit Certificates + Internship Opportunities.

• Runner-up Team: Cash Prize of ₹45,000 + Trophy + Merit Certificates.

• Best Speaker: Cash Prize of ₹15,000 + Citation.

• Best Memorial: Cash Prize of ₹15,000 + Citation.

• E-Certificates of Participation will be provided to all registered participants.

How to Register

Interested teams must complete the official online registration form before March 15, 2026. Upon completing the form, teams will receive a confirmation email containing payment instructions for the registration fee (₹3,000 per team) and provisional team code assignment.
