About the Opportunity
This internship provides an exceptional platform for aspiring litigators to immerse themselves in complex appellate and dispute resolution practice before the Supreme Court of India and various high-stakes forums. Interns will work closely with seasoned practitioners in a fast-paced environment, honing their critical thinking, drafting, and research capabilities.
Key Responsibilities & Learning Outcomes
- Advanced Legal Research: Conduct in-depth case law and statutory research using primary legal databases (SCC Online, Manupatra, etc.) on constitutional, civil, and commercial matters.
- Substantive Drafting: Assist in drafting Special Leave Petitions (SLPs), writ petitions, applications, rejoinders, and comprehensive case briefs.
- Court Proceedings & Strategy: Gain practical exposure to court procedures, strategy formulation, and the day-to-day workings of an Advocate-on-Record's chamber.
- Document Management: Prepare case summaries, compile paper books, and manage critical case documentation.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Must be a final-year law student (3-year or 5-year LL.B. program).
- Demonstrated keen interest in litigation and Supreme Court practice.
- Strong analytical, legal research, and drafting abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Word and standard legal research databases.
- Proactive attitude and readiness to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced litigation environment.
