Opportunity Overview
Chola MS is actively seeking ambitious and detailed-oriented law graduates with 1 to 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join its legal team in Chandigarh. This role is ideal for young legal professionals looking to build a robust career in the general insurance sector, specializing in dispute resolution, motor accident claims, and consumer litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee MACT (Motor Accident Claims Tribunal) litigation and legal proceedings on behalf of the company.
- Handle end-to-end consumer court disputes and claims, ensuring effective defense strategies and compliance with insurance laws.
- Draft legal notices, replies, written statements, and petitions.
- Coordinate with empanelled advocates, legal counsel, and internal claims processing teams for efficient case resolution.
- Track statutory compliance and maintain accurate legal documentation for ongoing litigation.
Candidate Profile & Eligibility
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B. / B.A. LL.B.) from a recognized, reputed university or law college.
- Experience: 1–3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in legal practice or in-house litigation.
- Industry Background: Prior experience in a general insurance company or handling insurance litigation is strongly preferred.
- Domain Expertise: Proven experience handling MACT and consumer claims is highly desirable.
- Location Preference: Local candidates hailing from or currently residing in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, or Chandigarh will be preferred.
