About the Opportunity
GMR Group is inviting applications for the position of Associate Manager – Legal based in Hyderabad. The role primarily focuses on commercial contracts, leases, joint ventures, documentation, and regulatory matters across major infrastructure, hospitality, and mixed-use commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, Leave & License agreements, lease deeds, EPC contracts, and other commercial documents.
- Provide critical risk-mitigation inputs during the drafting and review of contractual documents.
- Support major development initiatives such as the GMR Interchange, Hospitality District, Co-living, Senior Living, hotel, and hospital projects.
- Liaise with Sub-Registrar Offices (SROs) and facilitate the timely registration of lease deeds and maintain professional relationships with jurisdictional offices.
- Periodically review and standardise agreements, updating base drafts to reflect statutory and regulatory amendments.
- Arrange authorisation letters for internal signatories and oversee the Centralized Document Management System (CDMS).
- Develop SOPs and conduct compliance awareness sessions for cross-functional teams.
- Collect, maintain, safeguard, and act as custodian of executed and registered legal documentation for ALD-Hyderabad.
- Coordinate seamlessly with external law firms, advocates, courts, SROs, and internal business functions.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Qualification: LL.B. degree from a recognised university.
- Experience: 5–7 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience.
- Strong background in commercial leases, joint venture agreements, registrations, and general corporate documentation.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, JV structuring, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to liaise with government bodies and external legal counsel.
