Opportunity Overview
HDB Financial Services is currently inviting applications from dynamic and skilled legal professionals for the positions of Legal Manager, Legal Officer, and Legal Associate. Located in the bustling corporate hubs of Mumbai and Pune, these roles offer a high-impact environment with direct exposure to core financial products and complex legal operations.
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Manage legal proceedings and compliance across various retail loan portfolios, including Loan Against Property (LAP), Personal Loans (PL), and Business Loans (BL).
- Oversee and drive recovery litigation, execution proceedings, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes.
- Draft, review, and finalize complex legal documentation, notices, petitions, and legal instruments.
- Handle proceedings under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and Section 25 of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act.
- Coordinate with empanelled legal counsel and manage court appearances and statutory filings.
Eligibility & Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from a recognized university.
- Experience: 2 to 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience in legal practice or in-house NBFC/Banking legal departments.
- Domain Expertise: Proven proficiency in litigation management, execution matters, arbitration, and legal drafting within the financial services sector.
- Statutory Knowledge: Strong understanding of banking and recovery laws, specifically Section 138 of NI Act and Section 25 of PSS Act.
