The Role: Senior Legal Manager
Pharmadose is seeking an exceptional, highly motivated Senior Legal Manager to lead its global contracting and corporate legal operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will serve as a strategic legal advisor and commercial safeguard for the business. This on-site leadership position in Mumbai demands a seasoned professional capable of independently driving complex cross-border contract negotiations, managing global pre-litigation strategy, and advising executive leadership on critical regulatory and IP-adjacent legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Global CDMO & Development Agreements: Independently draft, structure, and negotiate high-value contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) agreements, technology transfer agreements, licensing deals, and Master Service Agreements (MSAs) with CROs and international partners.
- Contract Governance & Risk Management: Oversee global NDAs/CDAs, maintain robust contract repositories, and implement automated obligation tracking to safeguard commercial interests.
- Dispute Resolution & External Counsel Oversight: Direct pre-litigation strategies, manage international disputes, brief external counsel across India, the US, and global jurisdictions, and effectively optimize legal spend.
- Regulatory & IP Strategy Alignment: Work in tandem with IP counsel on Paragraph IV certifications, patent-related coordination, trade secrets, and cross-border data protection obligations.
- Executive Advisory: Act as an autonomous strategic legal partner to promoters and executive leadership, interfacing directly with senior counterparties across global markets.
Eligibility & Candidate Profile
- Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) required; Master of Laws (LLM) strongly preferred.
- Experience: 8 to 10 years of dedicated legal experience within a pharmaceutical company or a tier-1 law firm specializing in life sciences and pharma clients.
- Domain Expertise: Proven hands-on track record in drafting and negotiating CDMO/CRO contracts, tech transfers, and global licensing deals. Strong working knowledge of US pharmaceutical commercial arrangements (wholesaler, GPO, and distribution agreements) is highly advantageous.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional business acumen, advanced negotiation tactics, mastery over IP fundamentals (patents, trade secrets), and the leadership agility to manage complex multi-party deals.
