1st NALSAR-Lawlit National Moot Court Competition 2026

The Moot Court Committee of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, in collaboration with Lawlit, proudly announces the 1st NALSAR-Lawlit National Moot Court Competition 2026. This prestigious flagship event aims to foster legal acumen, research excellence, and persuasive advocacy among law students across India.

Theme & Focus Area

The moot proposition for this inaugural edition centers on contemporary challenges at the intersection of Constitutional Law, Digital Privacy Rights, and Artificial Intelligence Regulation in India. Participants will navigate complex questions involving algorithmic bias, state surveillance, fundamental rights under Article 21, and the evolving data protection framework.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree programs from any recognized Law School/University/Institute in India are eligible to participate.

• Each institution may register a maximum of two teams.

• Each team shall comprise 3 members (2 Speakers and 1 Researcher) or 2 members (2 Speakers-cum-Researchers).

Timeline & Key Dates

• Release of Notification & Moot Proposition: March 1, 2026

• Last Date for Registration: April 15, 2026

• Last Date for Seeking Clarifications: April 20, 2026

• Submission of Soft Copy Memorials: May 10, 2026

• Oral Rounds (On-Campus at NALSAR): May 22 – May 24, 2026

• Winner Team: ₹1,00,000 Cash Prize + Trophy + Internship Opportunities

• Runner-up Team: ₹50,000 Cash Prize + Trophy

• Best Speaker: ₹15,000 Cash Prize + Certificate of Excellence

• Best Memorial: ₹15,000 Cash Prize + Certificate of Excellence

• Best Researcher: ₹10,000 Cash Prize + Certificate of Excellence

• Certificates: Certificates of Participation will be awarded to all registered teams.

Registration Procedure

Interested teams must complete their registration through the official portal before April 15, 2026. Follow these simple steps:

1. Access the official registration Google Form via the link provided on this page.

2. Fill in the required details of the institution, team members, and faculty coordinator.

3. Pay the registration fee of ₹3,000 per team via NEFT/UPI details specified in the form.

4. Upload the payment receipt and submit the form to confirm registration.
